back in the city

Well, we have been back for over a week now, half working and half trying to keep up with Kawena. Catching up with cousins and Auntie and Uncle is great fun and we realize how important family and trust really is when little ones are involved. Cousin Hana is just starting school and cousin Dassie is grown so tall and skinny. Now Wena has to catch up with the girls!

Wena seems to be reacting to all the change with caution, keen observation and a “wait and see” disposition. He still loves looking at trees and relaxing with Mom and Dad. He loves to play and loves suprises and tossing around toys and “boo!” He hardly ever cries anymore unless he is tired or hungry and he is very easy to comfort. 2 or 3 seconds and you say “shhh, its ok, sweetie, we got ya!” and he is fine. But it is all tempered a bit with a quietness, a dedicated observation, a hold pattern of some kind. He waits sometimes now, to react, until it seems safe to cut loose. Then the old yowl and crazy babytalk comes pouring out. And we know the trust is still there. He is still our Wena.

Manu and I miss Kawena! We think Kawena would like the Maui County fair. Manu says he thinks of Kawena everytime he goes out on the deck. We are looking forward to seeing you soon. Manu is teaching 2nd grade this week. I am in training w/o students tomorrow. Many of my students will be going to the fair this weekend. We are frequent visitors to this site, reading everything and keeping up to date.
Malama pono and a hui hou!

What’s up everyone? I’m trying sky8866 out. The graphics are pretty impressive and they have a lot of different promotions running all the time. Looks great from my perspective: sky8866
